Personal Checking Accounts: Our Hull State Bank personal checking accounts require a minimum opening balance of $100.00. A minimum balance fee of $6.00 will be imposed every statement cycle unless you maintain either a minimum daily balance of $600.00 or a minimum monthly average balance of $2,500.00 for the monthly statement cycle. A fee of $.15 will be assessed for each debit transaction for this account if the minimum balance is not maintained.

Premier Accounts: Minimum balance to open this account is $100.00. Regardless of the minimum balance each month, the account will receive an additional service charge. You will pay $10.50 per month. This account affords many additional benefits such as free personalized checks, free cashiers checks, free travelers checks, discounts on many bank services as well as additional varied benefits. This account offers overdraft protection upon approval as well accidental death insurance.

Discount Checking Accounts: This account is available to non-profit charitable organizations, senior citizens (65 and older) and students (full time and under age 24). Minimum balance to open the account is $100.00. A fee of $1.50 per month will be imposed every statement cycle if the balance falls below $1,000 any day of the cycle.

Commercial Accounts: Minimum balance to open the account is $100.00. Service charges on this account are based on account analysis. The account will be monitored for one month without assessment of fees. Analysis fees are $7.50 maintenance, $.15 per debit or credit and $.08 per item deposited. You will receive an earnings credit to offset your fees.

Now Checking Accounts: Minimum balance to open this account is $100.00. This is an interest bearing account. (At our discretion, we may change the interest rate on your account). Interest will be compounded every month. Interest will be credited to your account every statement cycle. If your balance falls below $500.00 on any day in the monthly cycle, we will impose a minimum balance fee of $12.00 once per statement cycle unless you maintain an average daily balance of $2,500.00 during the statement cycle. The average daily balance is calculated by adding the principal in the account each day of the period and dividing that figure by the number of days in the period. If your balance is at least $1,000.00 every day in the monthly statement cycle, but falls below $2,000.00 on any day during the monthly statement cycle, we will impose a minimum balance fee of $8.00 once per statement cycle unless your average daily balance during the cycle is $2,500.00. (See above definition of average daily balance.)

Money Market Account: Minimum balance to open this account is $100.00. This is an interest bearing account. (At our discretion, we may change the interest rate on your account.) Interest will be compounded every month and will be credited to your account. A minimum balance fee of $10.00 will be imposed every statement cycle unless you maintain either a minimum daily balance of $2,000.00 or a minimum daily average balance of $5,000.00 for the monthly statement cycle. Transfers from Money Market to another account or to third parties by authorized automatic or telephone transfers are limited to six per statement cycle with no more than three by check, draft or similar order to third parties. A fee of $5.00 will be charged for each debit in excess of six during a statement cycle.

Savings Accounts: Minimum amount to open an account is $100.00. A minimum balance fee of $3.00 will be imposed on each monthly statement cycle if the daily average balance for the monthly statement cycle falls below $300.00. (At our discretion, we may change the interest rate on your account.) Interest will be compounded every quarter and added to your account every quarter. A per item fee of $2.00 will be charged for each withdrawal in excess of one during the month.

Certificates of Deposit: Minimum balance to open a Certificate of Deposit is $1,000.00. Our certificates have various maturity dates ranging from 30 days to 2 years. All certificates are subject to an early withdrawal penalty. For our current certificate rates, please view our rates page or see one of our bank representatives.

Individual Retirement Accounts: Our Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) can be opened with $100.00. You may add to this during the year at your convenience to reach your maximum annual contribution of $4,000.00 or $5,000.00 for individuals over 50 years of age if you have earned income of $4,000.00 or $5,000.00. These funds may be put into a certificate of deposit which have the same terms and penalties as our regular certificates.

A non-working spouse may, also, make annual contributions of $4,000.00 or $5,000.00 for individuals over 50 years of age.

Roth IRA accounts: The Roth IRA account is similar to the regular individual IRA account except that the contributions are not tax-deductible, but the distributions can be tax free.

IRA Rollovers: you may rollover any portion of funds from a Qualified Retirement Plan, such as a plan with a former employer, or from an existing IRA at another financial institution. The transfer can be made between financial institutions without any tax liability.
